Welcome to the Rancho Bernardo High School's Swim and Dive Web Site. This site can be used to obtain all necessary forms and information on the swim and dive programs at RB High School.

Rancho Bernardo High School swim teams have been CIF and League champions many times. Numerous swimmers from Rancho Bernardo High School have achieved All-American awards. In additon, many Rancho Bernardo swimmers have been named to 1st Team All-CIFs and 1st Team All-Palomar League.

Rancho Bernardo High School is a Division I school competing in the Palomar League against Poway High School, Carlsbad High School, El Camino High School, Rancho Buena Vista High School, and Vista High School.

Mandatory Interest Meetings
Two mandatory Interest meetings have been scheduled for January 21 in the PAC at lunch and February 9 in the PAC at lunch.

Paperwork Due Jan 29
All paperwork is due to the Athletic Office by Friday January 29, 2010. You are responsible for picking up your Ticket to Play from the Athletic Office once all your paperwork is done. You must bring your Ticket to Play to the first practice or you are not eligible to participate on the team. You can pick up your Ticket to Play on February 8, 9,10, 11 and 12 during lunch in the Athletic Office. If this is not done prior to the first day of the season, you may jeopardize being on the team. In order to participate one must have a 2.0 GPA or better; must be passing at least 4 classes; be available for practices and meets; be available during spring break and district recess, there are practices during these weeks.

Season Starts Feb 22
The Season starts on Monday February 22, 2010 from 2:45-5:00pm for everyone. We will meet this first day to process all the paperwork, start to conduct swim/dive tryouts, and do suit fittings at the pool. The suit fitting and p ayment for your spirit pack (shirt, sweatshirt and sweatpants, suit, cap/ divers will get a chamois) will be due at this time. If this day is missed by anyone, it could jeopardize you being on the team. Regardless of the reason.

Midnight Madness
All returning CIF Varsity and new CIF Varsity swimmers (please read the tryout process) have a mandatory "MIDNIGHT MADNESS" practice on Saturday February 20, 2010 from 12:01am to 2:30am at RB pool followed by breakfast at Denny's in RB. More information to come at future meetings along with a permission slip.

Parent Information Night
Parent Information Night will be on Monday March 1st in the Performing Arts Building at 7:00pm for all spring sports, and then followed by Swimming & Diving meeting only from 7:30-8:30pm.

Athletic Transportation Fee
As a result of recent budget reductions at both the state and local levels, District funding for athletic transportation has been eliminated. We believe strongly that the safe transport of our student-athletes to their contests is our #1 priority. Although the District has the available school bus fleet resources, the cost for these services falls upon our athletic department.
In order to continue to maintain transportation for athletic trips, we are imposing a fee of $90.00 per athlete per school year, regardless of the number of sports seasons your student plays.
